Saying so plainly matters, because a buyer looking for mahjong will be disappointed and a buyer looking for a children's matching game will be delighted. The two are entirely different purchases.
A deliberately short game. A full mahjong set at 144 tiles produces a session of hours; 48 blocks produces a game of minutes, which is the right length for a young player or for a gap before dinner.
Thirty millimetre blocks suit smaller hands and are easier to see. Twenty four is more compact and travels better. For a child, take the larger.
Matching games with tile shaped pieces are how a lot of children first handle something that looks like mahjong, and the familiarity carries over years later. That is a reasonable thing for it to be, provided nobody is told it is the game itself.
Wipe clean. Count the blocks back in every time: a matching game with a missing piece leaves an unmatchable pair and cannot be completed.
